A Letter to My Potential Clients:

Hello, my name is Ronna Steele. I am the photographer and owner of Steele Your Heart Photography. My love for photography came unexpectedly when my Grandma had just passed. we were going through her house and I found an old film camera at the bottom of one of her jam-packed closets. This was perfect because I had just signed up for a black and white photography class at my local College.

The moment I picked it up I knew it was a gift from my grandmother and I wanted to share that gift with everyone. The message my grandmother was reminding us all to make plenty of memories, and capture those memories. As we just don't know how important those capture memories are until we don’t have them anymore. This is exactly why I love being a photographer! I capture moments of the heart, hence my business name Steele Your Heart photography.

On a professional level though, this is my dream job! It's a great opportunity where I can use my creativity and love for photography. My experience is vast and varied. I enjoy all photography including macro, portraits, styled, lifestyle and still/product photography.

My most recent work and most rewarding is with the Northwest Brain Tumor Community which is part of the National Brain Tumor Society. We spread awareness about brain tumors and raise funds for brain tumor research and patient advocacy. I am the head photographer for the Northwest Brain Tumor Walk which happens every year in Portland. We had over seven hundred participants this year.

All the photos you see on their Facebook and other social media are the majority my work. My role at Northwest Brain Tumor Community has grown in the last couple years. I am now part of their social media team and planning committee.

I also covered the Vancouver Recycled Art Festival for the last two years. You can see my work on their Instagram, newsletter, and website.

By day, I work for Lifetouch Church Division. It has been a very rewarding and educating experience. In the two years I have done over eight hundred sessions. I photograph families, individuals, children, pets and other sanctions of the Church for the church directory and Lifetouch and I give them an OPPORTUNITY to update their photos and make new memories.

At the end of the day, my goal is to share my passion and importance of capturing those moments with others through my photography. I cannot wait to help you capture your beautiful MEMORIES!
